About the speakers:
Susan Ng - Susan has more 17 years of financial management and accounting including 5+ years as a financial auditor, earning her CPA with Deloitte and Touche. She is a seasoned financial and operations entrepreneur with a broad range of experience, including a background in audit with Deloitte and Touche, manufacturing experience in materials planning with Intel Malaysia, operating experience as interim CFO, director of finance and administration, and corporate
controller of finance and accounting of several companies in the Bay Area. Her clients range from manufacturing, semiconductor, software, biotech to staffing. In addition to contractual positions, Susan's experience includes various projects such as building finance organizations, capital raising, acquisition due diligence as well as financial planning and analysis projects. In 2008, she co-founded Silicon Valley West, Inc to provide a full service in business, financial accounting and tax to the small business market.
Siew-Huon Gong - Siew is currently Legal Counsel at Xilinx in San Jose. In the 26 years she's been in the Bay Area, she has gone through varied roles that include being an executive secretary, a financial analyst, a tax manager and a compliance manager in large corporations. Prior to moving to the United States, she taught Math, Science and Malay Language in Malaysian secondary schools, mostly in Penang. Siew grew up in the small town of Sitiawan, Perak. Her move to the United States was primarily driven by the opportunity for her children to obtain an American education. She holds graduate degrees in business,
taxation and law, and is a firm believer in lifelong education.
